Our team at the Canadian Opera Company will be holding a Showcase Series during the month of May that celebrates Asian Heritage Month. This new initiative by the Community Partnerships & Programs team includes diverse performances on May 2, 17, 19, 26, and 31.
The event on May 19 is entitled “From the COC community”, which focuses on COC employees sharing reflections on their Asian identity and music, in particular opera coupled with songs that connect them to their cultural heritage.

I am looking forward to sharing my story and performing a Persian song by Afarin Mansouri Tehrani entitled “Unattainable Love” from Asheghaneha.
All concerts from this Showcase Series are free, but you need to register to attend.
