Originally written in January 2020 by the Ottawa composer Leo Lightstone, to the poem by Yehuda HaLevi, I was hoping to have this piece performed with the Music Ebraïca Choir, which I conduct.
When COVID struck, performing this piece in-person was no longer possible. Therefore, I collaborated on this project as the choir conductor, to bring Leo Lightstone’s beautiful piece of music to audiences with a virtual choir.
