In March and April 2021, The Great Canadian Theatre Company (GCTC) Virtual Choir embarked on a journey to connect over 300 participants through technological means previously thought impossible. This online presentation outlines pedagogical, technological, and accessibility approaches that resulted in the success of this ensemble, which became the largest choir in Ottawa’s history.
Not only do I feel privileged to be supporting this initiative as part of my work with the Community Partnerships and Programs teams, but I will also be singing during this showcase series on May 19th featuring a Persian song by Afarin Mansouri Tehrani.
