DESCRIPTION:\nHave you ever experienced anxiety, doubt, and negative thoughts to the point that you couldn’t practice, perform, or even focus on everyday tasks? Mindfulness practices are tools you can use to slow down your thoughts and redirect them to the present moment, which results in a calmer body and mind and a more non-judgmental non-reactive mindset towards situations. These exercises empower you to disconnect from worrying about the past or the future and to only focus on the present moment and the task at hand by taking life one step at a time.\n\nDuring this session, you will be introduced to a few mindfulness tools and will have a chance to experience them firsthand.\n\nNo previous experience in mindfulness is necessary.\n\nSuitable for: everyone ages 12 and up.\nCost: FREE\nDate: Setmpter 25, 2022\nLocation: Zoom (You will receive the link when you register for the webinar)\nDuration: 40 mins with a 10 mins question period at the end.\n\nWhat to bring to the webinar:\n\n\n\n\nMake sure your space is quiet, away from other family members, roommates, or pets (you don’t want any distractions while practicing mindfulness)\n\n\n\nYou can sit on the floor or on a chair.\n\n\n\nA bottle of water\n\n\n\n\nAccessibility:\n\n\n\n\nThe webinar includes live closed captions.
